Zhodnocení hospodaření vybraného hospice

Abstract

The aim of this Bachelor’s thesis is to evaluate the management of Mobilní hospic Ondrášek o.p.s. (the Ondrášek Mobile Hospice) for the period 2015 to 2019, and to discover the origin of funds for its operation. Mobilní hospic Ondrášek o.p.s. is one of the forms of non-profit organization, and was established in the legal form of a public benefit company. The thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part; in which the theoretical part defines public, social, and health policy. Palliative care is also characterized, including its division, forms of provision, and financing in the Czech Republic. The practical part includes the characteristics of the services of the selected hospice, and an analysis of the management and origin of funds. It was found that the economic result of the hospice is, in each of the monitored years, in positive values, and also that it is largely dependent on funding from public institutions, donations from companies, foundations, or private individuals, and in recent years it has also been dependent on health insurance payments. At the end of the thesis, an evaluation is made, according to performance parameters, and recommendations are formulated to improve the management of this hospice.
