Abstract
The objective of this thesis is to assess the influence on the operation of MV and HV surge arresters. Ways of monitoring effects on surge arresters and their diagnostics have been described. Results obtained by measurements and observations have been analysed. This work has been done based on practical experience acquired while performing the diagnosis of high voltage devices.
