Abstract
The aim of this thesis is to analyse management of weightlifting club Sokol Moravská Ostrava 1and based on this analysis to develop practices that could contribute to improving functions of management. The thesis is devided into two parts, theoretical and practical. Theoretical part is focused on deining the main concepts related to sports and management. The practical part describes problems of the club and further analysis them. Proposals for improving communication between the weightlifting club and sponsors are one of the outcomes of our research.
