Abstract
The aim of the thesis was the design and verification of casting technology BASKET FS 1000 in foundry owned by ArcelorMittal Engineering Products Ostrava Ltd. Originally designed casting technology was further optimized using simulation software MAGMA SOFT.
The aim was to verify the proposed technologies, while also achieving a maximum degree of technological use of liquid metal for the economical production of the casting. Part of the study was also the assessment of the tests documented compliance with the required mechanical properties of the cast.
