Abstract

Thesis deals with an issue of rescuing people from construction excavation with damaged stability. Thesis is divided into nine chapters. In the first two chapters there are common information about rescuing people from construction excavation and technical equipment of Fire Brigade of Czech Republic. In the third chapter construction excavations are sorted by type, types of colapses and there are mentioned factors which impact the stability of excavation. Next chapter defines principles of research and organization at the emergency scene. Fifth chapter presents technical equipment used at those types of emergencies. Main part of thesis consists of methodical procedures to secure a non-stable excavation. In the next two chapters are described activities leading to secure and extricate a buried person. The final chapter solve which activities do first responding units before the specialized unit arrives.
