Abstract

The diploma thesis is focused on the issue of modernization of the Czech transmission system. The theoretical part describes the basic electrical parameters of high voltage lines. The current state of the transmission and distribution system is analyzed. The following chapter on the construction and use of masts for HV, VHV and EHV. The atmospheric influences acting on the overhead lines are thoroughly analyzed. In the next chapter I explain the basic principles of line mechanics, which are used in the practical part of the thesis, which is focused on the comparison of mechanical and electrical parameters of existing and modernized lines.
