Diagnostika mäkkých kompetencií, jej validita a reliabilita

Abstract

The competence can be perceived as an ability, but also as a set of the aspects that predispose an individual to provide quality work performance. In this sense, the competencies affect not only the position of the individual in the labor market, but in terms of human resources, especially the position of the companies in a competitive environment. The competencies are a part of many company processes, from personnel to management, so it is appropriate to use the methods that will serve to properly identify and measure their level. The aim of the work is to verify a specific questionnaire aimed at measuring soft competencies in terms of validity and reliability and to propose adjustments that should be made if the questionnaire should be used as a valid diagnostic method of the competencies. The analyzed data come from the database of the original questionnaire, aimed at the measuring the level of fourteen soft competencies, aggregating data on respondents' answers over several years. In order to obtain data on the respondents' answers individually to each of the questions, for the needs of more detailed analyzes, an additional questionnaire survey was conducted. During the analyzes, certain shortcomings of the questionnaire were found. Concerning, for example, the inclusion of one of the competencies in the questionnaire, the wording of the questions, the reliability of the results over time or the discriminatory validity of repeated questions. After making adjustments in the recommended areas, leading to increased accuracy and meaningfulness, the questionnaire could be a reliable and useful tool for measuring the level of competences.
