Pojistné podvody v České republice a způsoby jejich prevence

Abstract

The thesis is titled "Insurance fraud in the Czech Republic and ways to prevent them." The first chapter contains information about the characteristics and structure of insurance fraud. Because of continual increase in the amount of damages caused by this phenomenon, the thesis analyzes reasons why this happens. The thesis tries to reveal the causes and to define the consequences both insurance companies and / or other subjects are facing. Following chapters describe some of the preventive methods used in the fight against insurance fraud. The examples could be found among the methods spread within the insurance community especially those based on information technology e.g. Fraud Management System etc. Finally, the regional situation is taken into account and the one in the Czech Republic is compared to other countries, where any of the preventative measures are already kept (e.g. Pennsylvania). The integral part of the work is also a questionnaire.
