Abstract

This thesis on Labour Market and Employment Policy in the District of Ostrava analyses status and labour market developments in the district of Ostrava. Employment policy occupies an important position on labour market because long-term and repeated unemployment is one of the serious difficulties occured in this district. Drawings of funds from ESF also support this problem solving. Since 2008 APZ has been financed from ESF. These funds should be allocated as efficiently as possible and used for favour of the riskest groups of people and also should create a balance in the regional labour market.
