Abstract

A growing attention instead of considerable delay is targeted on the phenomena of technical monuments, installations and remnants of the industrial era of recent years. Probably the most important of the technical monuments are industrial areas which in many cases are the only documents of traditional manufacturing, which mostly provided the living for the neighbouring area. The very unique project, mapping the vanishing mining tradition in Most district with the aim to increase the employment rate and to support the development of tourism in the region through the realisation of the project “Technical Museum of the City of Most”, is realised in the spaces of former deep coal mine “Julius III” close to the Municipality Kopisty u Mostu. The submitted thesis solves the problems of project “Technical Museum of the City of Most” realisation. This project has been evaluated from the point of view of three basic aspects – social demand for the services offered by the Museum, technical feasibility of the project, economic evaluation of the project proposal and related project sustainability.
