Evakuace zvířat v hospodářských chovech

Abstract

This thesis focuses on the evacuation of animals from livestock farms. The theoretical section describes the legislative framework, the individual steps involved in evacuation, and animal behaviour in unusual situations. It also explains proper handling techniques and describes the tools that facilitate the process. The practical section is based on a questionnaire survey examining farmers’ preparedness for emergencies. The main output is a proposed evacuation plan for the DRUDAR agricultural cooperative. This proposal is based on a trial relocation of a cattle herd. The relocation revealed weaknesses that the proposed procedures address. These are intended to help the company safely and efficiently evacuate livestock and reduce potential injuries or deaths.
