Abstract

This thesis deals with the properties and utilisation of fly ash from the Předmostí tip as fill in the D1 motorway in the section Přerov – Lipník nad Bečvou. Fly ashwas produced in the heating plant Přerov and subsequently stored in the Předmostí tip. Deposition of fly ash finished twenty years ago. Introduction contains basic information regarding origin of coal combustion products (including fly ash) and their classification. Next part of thesis deals with research of the fly ash samples taken by myself. Test were carried to the requirements of the technical regulation TP 93 - Design and implementation of road constructions utilizing fly ash and ash. The first part of the research deals with ashes as fill. The next part discussed utilization of fly ash as binder component. The observed results were compared with the limit values of TP 93. Finnaly, there were recommendation concerning fly ash utilisation in road construction as fill, or as a component of binder.
