Ostrava: VŠB - Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Safety Engineering, 2024. 36 pgs. 3 supp. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to assess the level of occupational health and safety (OHS) at a selected construction site. Specifically, demolition work is being assessed. The theoretical part includes basic concepts, the legislative framework of OHS under which the responsibilities of construction participants have been classified. General OHS requirements and the division of demolition works according to technology are also specified. The practical part includes a brief description of the construction and further deals with demolition works selected for assessing the level of OHS. The section on demolition works includes obligations before commencing work, risk assessment during demolition work, and a proposal for the technological procedure of demolition works at the selected construction site. This is followed by the technology used for demolition and risk prevention. Finally, identified breaches of OHS during the implementation of demolition works and proposed measures are presented.
