Abstract

The main aim of the thesis is to evaluate the involvement of the selected non-governmental non-profit organizations into the Czech Republic's foreign development cooperation on the base of an analysis of their activities, and to create a comprehensive overview of the Czech foreign development cooperation. Selected organizations are ADRA, Člověk v tísni, and Charita Česká republika. Organizations are evaluated for the period of years 2014-2018, according to the area of activity, extent of development cooperation within the whole activity of the organization, number of development projects and contribution of the public resources in financing of the development projects. The evaluation showed that in 2018 all organizations operated in the same three countries (Iraq, Moldova, Ukraine). In 2018, 50 countries were supported by the selected organizations. Locations of the development projects and their number did not differ significantly over the years. The most common forms of assistance were support for education, agriculture, health and social care. During the years 2014-2018, Charita ČR was the most involved organization into the Czech Republic's foreign development cooperation. This organization supported the most countries, operated on more continents, provided the largest extent of development assistance and implemented the highest number of development projects within the framework of Czech development assistance.
