Abstract
This thesis addresses the impact of public administration on hate crimes motivated by sexual orientation and gender identity in the United States of America in time period 1992 - 2022. The aim of the thesis is to identify key socioeconomic factors that influence the occurrence of these crimes and to analyze how public administration can contribute to their prevention and recommendations that can serve as a basis for the creation of public policies and prevention strategies. For this purpose, correlation and regression analysis was used on panel data including variables such as personal income, support for LGBT rights, unemployment, education spending, and political affiliation. The results of the analysis show that socioeconomic factors, such as personal income, support for LGBT rights, and education spending, have a significant impact on the rate of hate crimes motivated by SOGI and indicate that socioeconomic conditions influence the rate of hate crimes, suggesting that economic instability or low levels of education can contribute to a greater degree of intolerance and prejudice against vulnerable groups.
