Abstract

The main goal of the project „Position of Russia as a global supplier of materials“ is discovering to what extend is EU27 dependant on Russian import and what is influencing the Security Policies of both countries. In the first part we see characterised the main definitions of natural and energy resources. This section also approaches individual energy industries, for example, coal, oil, natural gas and nuclear energy industry. The second part is focussed on basic data about Russia and their historical and economic development.Except the basic data, there is also the country’s ranking at TOP 10 chart of world economies and their position on global energy market. The last part is examinig the dependancy of all EU 27 countries on Russia and suggesting a new path of products which would help to lower the dependancy on Russian import.
