Abstract

This bachelor´s work deals with stainless steels. In the theoretical part the work is focused on stainless steel types, types of corrosions and on superalloys. The practical part devotes welding of Inconel 601 by use of TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) technology. In given case thermocouple is in question its shell is made from Inconel 601. The thermocouple as a main part of the high temperature sensor serves to fast evaluation of temperature changing. The thermocouple is able to work within wide range of temperatures from -40 °C to 950 °C.
