Abstract

The main goal of this thesis is to evaluate the selection process, which is governed by the Law of Public Contracts. The work focuses on the analysis and description of deficiencies, which can occur during the tender. The main goal is to avoid these defects to not get into trouble afterwards. The theoretical part covers the processing of theoretical knowledges about the selection and evaluation of suppliers and the rules for the tender. As information source serves literature dealing with the concepts of purchase, vendor and supplier evaluation. Furthermore, there are clarified different methods of selection and evaluation of suppliers, characterized evaluators, evaluation criteria and determining of each criteria importance. The practical part is related to primary data analysis, evaluation of general process of supplier selection in the particular company and also at the analysis of secondary data resources related to the most common issues, by which the selection itself can suffer. Final part refers to suggestions and recommendations related to implementation of public contracts.
