Abstract

This thesis "Corrosion of underground equipments" deals with the assessment of the degree of corrosion of steel thin-walled tubes ČSN 11353 and ČSN 17240 in the soil environment. The theoretical part is generally described corrosion, its distribution in terms of attack, effect of a corrosive environment, corrosion testing and choice of corrosion protection. The practical part deals with the measurement of corrosion decrease of wall thickness of steel above grade after an eighteen-month exposure in the environment waste rock dumps, metallographic evaluation and SEM analysis of found corrosion sediments.
