Abstract
This work deals with the implementation of basic OBD diagnostic functions into a programmable control unit. The first chapters describe the introduction to the principles of serial diagnostics of automotive electronic systems, introduction to diagnostic protocols and their use in relation to the types of diagnostic functions. This is followed by the commissioning and basic settings of the operating software, the creation of application software based on selected functional requirements and basic diagnostic functions. Furthermore, using the given diagnostic interface, querying the individual implemented diagnostic functions and verifying the functionality of the implemented solution is performed.
