Abstract
This thesis deals with the separation of a sample, a poor sulphide ore containing mainly polymetallic minerals such as pyrite, sphalerite and chalcopyrite, by the method of selective foam flotation. The flotation tests were focused on the separation of chalcopyrite, in order to obtain a valuable copper concentrate. The separated sample came from an important deposit in the Zlatá Hora region, specifically from deposit Zlatá Hora − east. The work includes the processes of ore preparation, treatment using heavy liquid separation and subsequent test analysis, thanks to which the application of the appropriate amount of flotation reagents was ensured to achieve the most effective separation result.
