Abstract

This dissertation deals in first part with different possibilities how to delay signal in time. It explains the principle of delaying analog signal by analog delay line and digital signal by gates, shift registers and digital delay lines. Next part of this dissertation describes the construction of delay control unit. This unit is able to control delays for 8 signals by using a computer. The functionality of each part of the unit is described. And also software used in microcontroller and software for unit control through USB is described. A functional unit will be used to control optical signal that will be used for signal transfer between mobile station and transmitter.
