Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the natural and socio-economic potential of the Jablunkov Intermountain region. In addition to a general description of the area’s specific conditions, the thesis presents selected icons of the local biotic and non-biotic environment, which are thoroughly defined in the Results section. Their description and selection were carried out using field research and a review focused on local sources. These are the main practical parts of the thesis. The partial theory, in turn, focus on the characteristics of human activity and its impact on the intermountain region, also within a historical context.The connection between these two key components aims to capture the concept of a nature park as the most suitable designation for the current state of the described area.The thesis should become the cornerstone for a future project regarding the declaration of the Jablunkov Intermountain Nature Park.
