Abstract

This thesis deals with the issue of traffic accidents with pedestrians. Part of this work is analysis of accidents involving pedestrians that took place in Ostrava. Based on results and evaluation of the analysis of road accidents it is selected five critical locations. Each location is identified current structural arrangements, illuminance transitions, transitions shortcomings, the findings and the subsequent evaluation of the intensity of pedestrian traffic intensity of motorized traffic, finding the weather at the time of accidents, deficiencies transitions, analysis of accidents. The goal of this work is to determine the causes of accidents involving pedestrians in selected locations, and on this basis to implement measures that would lead to their reduction.
