Abstract

The aim of the thesis Evaluation of the competitiveness of a particular enterprise is to assess the competitiveness of the drugstore Ant. Cimala Ltd. and the overall situation in the dry goods market in Valašské Meziříčí. The first part deals with defining the theoretical background of the topic. The second section presents an undertaking whose business is under investigation. The third part deals with the actual application of selected methods for business competitiveness. The first was PEST Analysis, which clarified the opportunities and threats external environment of business. Another method of analysis was Porter’s Five Forces Analysis, which found that the industry is in great Langer not only from existing competitors, but also new competitors, because of the low barriers to entry in this market. This was followed by a SWOT Analysis summarizing the strengths and weaknesses and its opportunities and threats. Determined that the business is located in a position where he had his weaknesses to overcome the use of its opportunities. At the conclusion of the work are given recommendations that should lead to attracting new customers and to improve the position of the enterperise market.
