Abstract

Bachelor thesis is dedicated to improvised explosive devices as the current threat of conventional armed forces in foreign operations. The theoretical part focuses on fundamental concepts and categories of explosive systems. A main part of the work is a set of tactics and trends in using of explosive devices applied by armed groups in Iraq and Afghanistan. Partial section describes the current possibilities of protection of Czech soldiers in missions. The practical part is a risk analysis in connection with the threat of Czech soldiers as a result of explosion. For improve the protection of Czech soldiers, author suggest a summary of innovative proposals.
