Abstract

This thesis deals with the system of storage work in progress production in the company TATRA METALURGIE a.s. in the section between the moulding and the smelting foundry. The aim of the thesis is to design a more efficient system of storage of unfinished production. The theoretical part is focused on the storage system in industrial companies. The practical part contains an analysis of the current state of storage and the definition of the most serious deficiencies of this system. The analysis is based on observations and data obtained by interviewing foundry employees. The result of the work are conceptual proposals for streamlining storage aimed at eliminating current shortcomings.
