Abstract

The bachelor thesis focuses on the selection and recruitment of employees. I have applied this theme to the Hospital Karviná-Ráj. I obtained information from conversations with the Director of Human Resources and also by drawing data from documents and statistics that I have available. The aim of this work was to analyze and evaluate procedures for the selection and recruitment of employees, especially doctors, to determine whether the personnel department of a hospital adapts to innovations in this area and also propose possible improvements in this process based on the information collected. My analysis in the hospital shows that the basic procedures in the selection and recruitment are set up well, but there are still some gaps and thus there is a scope for continuous improvement and quality improvement for this process. The biggest drawback is the lack of human resources planning. This problem is corrected in one of my proposals, where I recommend setting up an electronic system for the monitoring of individual employees. In other proposals, I suggested interviews with leaving staff and regular interviews with current staff to monitor employee satisfaction. I also recommended to establish scholarships for future nurses and creation of job specifications for certain professions. The bachelor's thesis was made available to hospital personnel department Karviná-Ráj.
