Abstract

The subject of my thesis is the study of biosorption of sulfate ions on the sorbent prepared from orange peel (Citrus sinensis). Especially the interpretation of the results of the sorption process assessment of individual sorption isotherms. To suitable activation of orange peel cells surface was used NaOH. Biosorption of sulfate ions from an aqueous solution preferably carried on sorbent with a grain size 0,5-1 mm and pH 5. Measuring the concentration of sulfate ions in the solution before and after the biosorption was performed spectrophotometrically by the measurement of sulfates EPA 375.4. Finding suitable biosorption isotherm is an important step before preparing biosorption applications into practical use.
