Abstract

This dissertation deals with the analysis of the major disaster risks in the machinery industry. The theory is dedicated to the basic terms of the major disasters and the description of the most commonly used methods of risk analysis. The practical part deals with the case study of risk analysis. That includes the characteristics of the chosen company and subsequently the risk analysis. The risk analysis is done by the What-If method and consequently by the FTA method combined with the ETA method. Based on the processing and evaluation of the methods the recommendations on risk reductionare suggested.
