Abstract

The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyze switching-mode power supplies and their characteristics. General parameters of classical linear and switching power supplies are compared in the first part of this work. Switching supplies are divided into two categories: galvanic isolated and galvanic non-isolated. Another part is focused on function principles of selected topologies of isolated power supplies. Principles of flyback, forward and push-pull converters are described. Functional circuits of converters and cooling of power semiconductor components are designed in the third part of this thesis. Simulations are performed using the OrCAD/PSpice. Simulation models of Mean Well converters are also performed. The results of measurement are described in the fourth chapter. The final section contains measurement reports and discussion of achieved results and implementation issues.
