Abstract

This bachelor thesis named “Evaluation of the potential benefits of tourism in the Czech Republic” is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part is primarily focused on the general introduction to the theory of tourism and its typology. In the next section I am describing the most popular forms of tourism in the Czech Republic and introducing appropriate examples. The following chapter is focused on defining the tourism economy. The practical part deals with the specific contribution of tourism to the national economy. After a general introduction to the multiplier effect to tourism, I focus on evaluating the benefits through the Tourism Satellite Account.
