Abstract
This diploma thesis deals with research of specific properities of black coal from Darkov locality and their influence on one of the most used separations technologies – flotation. On of the key parametres of the solid – liquid phase interface is zeta potential. By studying the changes in the zeta potential values, depending on the pH of the environment and using different flotation agents, interesting knowledge and conclusions about environment stability can be obtained. The contact angle represents an interesting method of studying of wettability of a polished coal sample using a sessile drop of liquid in contact with solid surface. Both methods should outline conclusions related to flotation of black coal.
