Abstract

This work deals with the design of integrating the alcohol tester into the vehicle. The system was designed for the prototype car which is being developed by the college. In the lead-up to the work, there was an introduction to the legislation prescribing in various countries the way alcohol testers are used in vehicles. The next point of the theoretical part deals with the principle of the functioning of the alcohol tester and then the subsequent comparison of the selected instruments according to which the appropriate instrument for the design was determined. In the practical part of the work. An analysis was carried out of the choice of location for storing the system in the interior of the vehicle. In addition, a number of experiments were conducted to verify the system's functionality. The work has achieved a functional design for the placement of the system in the A-pillar of the vehicle which can be implemented at a relatively low cost.
