Realizace systému kompenzace pohybu u parkinsoniků

Abstract

One of the very serious degenerative diseases affecting the quality of life, especially affecting older people, is Parkinson's disease. This disease strongly affects the ability of movement and ultimately the total self-sufficiency of people. This work focuses on a possible researched therapeutic approach, which is generally aimed at increasing the quality of life and improve mobility on people with Parkinson. In principle, it is a controlled vibration stimulation applied to the feet. In the first part of the text is introduced Parkinson's disease. This part of the text contains of the causes of manifestations, evaluation of severity and contemporary treating and therapeutic approaches. Furthermore, there is explained a general principle of the therapeutic approach and there are summarized information from the research works. Following the previous theory, the text continues with a description of the design and technical solution, which is implemented in the shoe insert. The aim of this work is to implement a functional device with controlled vibrating stimulation by microcontrollers with binding to walking phases and subsequently testing system functionality.
