Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of service and professional preparation of judicial guard members. In the first part, the thesis characterizes the judicial guard as the service body of the Prison service of the Czech Republic. It describes its main tasks, duties and judicial guard authorization. Further on, the characteristics and security of judicial buildings are described. The description and evaluation of the present state of service and professional preparation of judicial guard members follows. The results of the diploma thesis are suggestions for changes in the field of service and professional preparation, particularly in relation to managing tasks in emergency and the consequent evacuation of judicial buildings.
