Abstract

The bachelor thesis tackles the controlled extraction and use of firedamp from the landlocked space of mined colliery on completion of the mining operations. At the beginning this text describes the history of mining in the Ostrava region. Then considers the factors affecting firedamp vent and analyzes the security risk. Next part mentions the regional degassing system and the building protection in the area with finished mining operations. The end of the thesis refers to the utilization of mined firedamp from the subsurface.
