Abstract

This thesis on The position of older persons in the labour market in Czech Republic analyzes the position of older persons in czech labor market and provides possible variants of solution of their unemployment. Older persons are among the risk groups in the labour market, who should get extra care. The increasing importance of the issue of employment of these people is particularly based on the current demographic changes in population structure. Whereas the level of employment of older people in comparison with EU countries is lower, is still needed to increase their level of employment. Active employment policy has occupied an important position and has been trying to improve the quality of older people by its instruments and measures. Targeted programs are also very important and have a significant contribution to promote employment of older persons and it is known that they are successful.
