Abstract
The thesis deals with the design and assessment of the supporting system of the steel tower. The shape of the structure was chosen with regard to modern aesthetic requirements. The creation of a global model of the structure and the creation of selected connections are described in the thesis. Loads were applied to the structure according to the Eurocodes. The SCIA Engineer calculation program was used for the structural design of the support system. IDEA StatiCa was used for the design and assessment of the selected connections. The assessment of the tower support system was carried out according to the ultimate and serviceability limit state.
