Aplikace logistické regrese v biomedicíně

Abstract

The thesis deals with introducing the logistic regression and its use in medical resort. Thesis describes how to estimate coefficients of the logistic regression, how to interpret its results and how to evaluate the final model. Practical part uses step-wise regression to find the most suitable model, for predicting anastomotic leak based on potential risk factors. We use data obtained by surgical department Nemocnice Nový Jičín a.s. Model fitting and data analysis was performed using statistical software R, version 3.6.3.
