Zhodnocení vlivu vybraných faktorů na tržní kapitalizaci společností na akciovém trhu

Abstract

Market capitalization is an important market indicator that expresses the market value of a company. The aim of this thesis was to analyze the relationship between this indicator and selected factors. The thesis focuses on the Czech stock market and market capitalization is represented by the values of this indicator for all companies listed on the Prague Stock Exchange. The selected factors whose influence is examined are indicators of the financial performance of individual companies, as well as market and macroeconomic indicators. The relationship between market capitalization and selected criteria is analyzed using econometric methods designed for working with panel data. The first part of the thesis describes the theoretical background and characteristics of the securities market. The following part explains the methodology of the econometric methods used. In the practical part the mentioned methods are applied to real data and the results are evaluated.
