Abstract

The bachelor thesis is focused on the profitability analysis of a company in the building industry. The main aim of the bachelor thesis is analysed the financial situation of the company Moravia Consult Olomouc a.s. during the period of 2007 – 2011 using financial analysis with focus on the profitability analysis. The thesis is divided into three parts. In the theoretical part is described the financial analysis methods, which is used in practical part. In the next part is presented the company Moravia Consult Olomouc a.s. Then is horizontal and vertical analysis elaborated. The beginning of the practical part is devoted to analyse of profitability ratios and Moravia Consult Olomouc a.s. is compared with results of the branch the company belongs to. In the further part is presented the pyramidal decomposition of the return of equity and sensitivity analysis.
