The subject of this diploma thesis is the project of a student dormitory called Domov mladeže Vyškovice, which is located in Ostrava. Project is developed in the phase of project documentation for construction implementation. The dormitories are a five-story building, with skeletal support construction system and is roofed with a single flat roof. The proposed building will fulfill short-term residential purposes for VŠB-TUO students, primarily students of the Faculty of Safety Engineering (FSE). The bachelor's thesis contains a technical report on the construction part, project documentation in the phase of project documentation for construction implementation, thermal and technical assessment of building’s structures, energy label of the building envelope, assessment of acoustic properties of structures and static calculation and assessment of a continuous reinforced concrete slab of a ceiling structure.
