Abstract

The topic of this thesis is An Analysis of Employee Appraisal System in a Chosen Organization. The aim of thesis is to analyze and propose new changes and other ideas regarding to an employee appraisal system in The Regional Authority in Ostrava. They will be compared and analyzed with theoretical knowledge and current trends in the field of human resources management. The theoretical part focuses on the performance of foundations for the employee appraisal. There are presented basic concepts, trends, major methods of appraisal, relationship of employee appraisal with other personal activities, etc. In this thesis is described The Regional Authority of Moravian-Silesian Region in Ostrava. The practical part deals with becoming familiar with the human resources management in the public sector, describing the current state of employee appraisal at The Regional Authority in Ostrava, planning, implement and evaluation questionnaire. The outputs of the thesis are the main and supporting proposals and recommendations to improve the employee appraisal system in a chosen organization.
