Šikova ekonomická reforma a její role v období tzv. Pražského jara 1968 v Československu

Abstract

The aim of this bachelor thesis „Šik’s Economic Reform and its Role in the so-called Prague Spring 1968 in Czechoslovakia” was to get closer to progress of the reform of the press of this period and chart the process of reform since the economic crisis from the early sixties of twentieth century till entrance of Warsaw’s troops and becoming normalization.

The first part deals with economic problems in 1962 – 1964 leading to economic crisis and following by concept of economic reform and fighting for its enforcement, and also its destiny in the Prague Spring to beginning of normalization.

The second part deals with status of press and illustrates on the basis of newspaper articles from daily newspapers Rudé právo and Práce process of economic reform in the times of so called Prague Spring 1968.

The third part contains opening article, interview with specialist for the topic, survey and review of the book, with which I get closer to meaning of Šik’s economic reform for Czechoslovakia.
