Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with various problems of securing machinery for the Fire Rescue Service of South Bohemia (hereinafter only as FRS SB). The problems in question are studied from the perspective of the effectiveness of securing machinery for the RFS SB through establishing a repair shop for the machinery of fire protection (hereinafter only as the MFP) and the material equipment of fire protection (hereinafter only as the MEFP). The thesis specifies in more detail necessary types of repair shops depending on the kinds of the MFP and the MEFP. Facilities for establishing such repair shops, instrumentation and equipment necessary for repairs are also proposed. The types and kinds of the MFP and MEFP are listed in the Appendix. The thesis also mentions a possibility of establishing an own vehicle testing station and an exhaust-measurement facility with necessary instrumentation and equipment listed for these stations. The effectiveness securing fire-protection machinery through own repair shops is studied in particular with respect to economic costs. The thesis presents an overview of present costs, listed in the Appendix, with the capital costs of establishing such repair shops, and with operating costs necessary for running these repair facilities.
