Abstract

Leader: Ing. arch. Zdeněk Trefil The subject of my diploma thesis is the design of viticulture and adjoining public space in the town of Modra in Slovakia, under of the Little Carpathians mountains. The location of the new winery is placed on the outskirts of the city overlooking the entire city of Modra. The design concept will be closely linked to the sloping terrain. The function of the building will not only be a wine production factory, but also an accommodation facility with an occasional restaurant. The intention of this work is to develop a theoretical part about viticulture, site analysis, urban design of public space and the architectural solution of the winery. The purpose is to create a dominant place in Modra for production, degustation and accommodation with recreational space.
