Abstract

This bachelors thesis was made as professional practice in Libor Holub – NETtip company (thereinafter as SvetHostingu.cz trademark). In the thesis, I present a description of the company and my allocated role, including the tasks assessed during the course of my work and methods, by which they were accomplished. I conclude the thesis by presenting knowledge and experience gained from the practice, lacking knowledge and evaluation of my performance in the company. My daily workload consisted primarily of maintenance, expansion and problem solving regarding the curren server farm and technical support for both existing and potential customers. As a long – term assignment, I have been entrusted the task of reviewing and testing the most accessible open virtualization technologies and deploying them into production environment on the GNU/Linux platform with the aim of providing a virtual server hosting service (VPS hosting).
