Thesis supervisor doc. Mgr. Ing. Radomír Ščurek, Ph.D. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to identify and evaluate the real effect of kratom on youth in the area of the city of Ostrava. It will also include familiarization with the legal and regulatory framework that currently affects this substance and possible future sales restrictions, including current regulatory measures and restrictions during the research period. This work further examines the origin and history of kratom, its effect on the functionality of the mental and emotional sphere, side effects and addiction processes. Following the formulated hypotheses, a questionnaire survey will be carried out, which will serve to analyze the use of this substance among the youth in Ostrava. This work will also examine the development of regulatory measures and restrictions.
