Abstract

The bachelor thesis entitled "The Optimization of Inventory Management in a Selected Company" is focused on the analysis of the current inventory status of FINCLUB PLUS Plc. more precisely at its selected distribution centre in Přerov. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part contains the definition of the problem of inventories, their management, storage, and methods for their classification. In the practical part, these methods are applied and help to set appropriate inventory levels for the selected distribution centre to avoid excess inventories. Finally, the costs of appropriate inventory levels are compared with existing inventory levels and the difference is economically evaluated.
